Who Is Mr. Swanson?

Hi! I'm Paul Swanson and I've been financing residential and commercial real estate since 2004. I'm the CEO of Mr. Swanson Mortgage, but titles don't really matter around here. What matters is that when you call, you get me.

Not an assistant. Not a processor. Not someone reading from a script. Me.

Most mortgage companies divide your loan between five or six different people. One takes the application. Another collects documents. Someone else processes the file. An underwriter you've never met makes decisions. Somewhere along the way, nobody seems to know what's actually going on.

I decided years ago that wasn't how I wanted to do business.

From our very first conversation until the day you close, I'm the one handling your loan. I build your application, collect your documentation, package your file for underwriting, coordinate with all parties, solve problems, answer your calls, and occasionally serve as an unpaid therapist.

I graduated from Gettysburg College with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Psychology. At the time, I had no idea psychology would become one of the most valuable parts of my education.

Buying a home or financing a business is an emotional process.

One day everyone is excited. The next day underwriting asks for another document and everyone is convinced the world is ending. Twenty-four hours later everything is fine again. Then someone misses a deadline. Then everyone calms down.

Two weeks after closing, nobody remembers why they were stressed in the first place.

I've seen this movie thousands of times.

Mr. Swanson Mortgage is both a mortgage broker and a direct lender, allowing us to provide financing solutions for residential homes, commercial properties, investment real estate, and business financing.

Every transaction is different. The goal isn't to fit you into one loan program. The goal is to find the financing that actually makes sense.

I don't promise miracles.

I don't promise impossible interest rates.

I don't promise a perfectly smooth transaction because real estate simply doesn't work that way.

What I do promise is this:

You'll always know where your loan stands.

You'll always get an honest answer.

And you'll never wonder who's responsible for your file.

Because it's me.

When your loan gets difficult, and it probably will, you won't be wondering who's handling it. It'll still be me.
